Ben Jones:

Ben Jones played the role of the good-hearted mechanic Cooter Davenport in The Dukes of Hazzard. Cooter was never short on business in Hazzard County, he was usually helping out the Dukes in their battles with the corrupt Hazzard County Sheriff's Department. Of course, the Dukes helped Cooter out a lot too, because they gave him a lot of business every time they led a Hazzard County patrol car into Hazzard Pond.
Jones served as a Georgia congressman from 1988-92, had no acting experience prior to his Dukes role. He lost big to republican Newt Gingrich in the 1994 election.

James Best:

On The Dukes of Hazzard, James Best plays Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane. Before Dukes, James Best was a B-17 gunner in World War II, and a veteran of 81 movies and more than 600 TV shows. Best appeared on nearly all episodes of The Dukes of Hazzard, except for five episodes in 1980 in which he sat out because of a dispute over the dinky trailer accomodations that were available on the set. "Those trailers would fall apart if the termites stopped holding hands", Best said  He eventually returned when a new air-conditioned trailer arrived.

Cathrine Bach:

Before her role as Bo and Luke's cousin in The Dukes of Hazzard, Catherine Bach studied acting at UCLA, and eventually played minor roles in Clint Eastwood's 1974 Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, and Burt Reynolds' 1975 Hustle.In recent years, Bach has starred in the show African Skies, and she has been involved in wildlife conservation and domestic violence issues.

Rick Hurst:

Rick Hurst played the role of Deputy Cletus Hogg in The Dukes of Hazzard. Hurst took over as the temporary deputy of Hazzard County while Sonny Shroyer a police officer of the LAPD in the "Enos". At the start of the 1980-81 season. Cletus had already appeared in a couple episodes of The Dukes of hazzard and was an excellent replacement for Enos. Since there was apparently room for only one deputy in Hazzard County, Cletus left the show around the time Enos returned at the start of the 1982-83 season.

Denver Pyle:

Denver Pyle played the father like figur of the Duke family on The Dukes of Hazzard. He was a veteran charactor actor and had appeared in countless movies and television shows before Dukes. Denver, along with Sorrell Booke, appeared on each and every one of the one-hundred forty plus episodes of The Dukes of Hazzard. Pyle's most recent, and last feature film appearance was in the 1994 Mel Gibson film Maverick, in which he played an old gambler. His last television movie appearance was in the Reunion in Hazzard movie, aired in April, 1997. On December 12, 1997, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Less than two weeks later, on December 25th, Denver passed away after a long battle with lung cancer

John Shneider:

John Schneider  played Bo duke in the t.v series The Dukes Of Hazzard. Johns Caricter Bo was the reckless younger cousin. Bo often preferd chasing whomen rather than work on the general lee which often got him in to trouble. Bo had a amazing nack for getting himself and his cousin luke (played by Tom Wopat) in to lodes of trouble with the county comishoner Boss Hogg (played by Sorell Booke) and the corrupt county sherif Rosco P Coltrane (played by James Best) then relying on luke to think a way out of the problem.
